Join us October 12 @ 7 pm as Ed Petrus discusses his discoveries in the Oak Park Cemetery

The caretaker’s house at Oak Park Cemetery had fallen into disrepair and the cemetery board had plans to demolish it. Instead, local residents, Ed & Lorraine Petrus purchased it and from 2011 to 2013 worked on its restoration.

After spending so much time in the cemetery, Ed took an interest in the many epitaphs, markers, and interesting New Castle forefathers buried there. One of the citizens he will speak about is Harry C. Falls. Falls sold 126 acres of land to P.J. Watson and others to create Oak Park Cemetery.
